Glaseco BV Now Installs PVC Sliding Door

HOOFDDORP, NL – September 09, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –

Glaseco B.V. has added PVC sliding door systems to its installation services, giving homeowners and property managers a space-saving option for connecting interior living areas with gardens, terraces, and balconies. The Hoofddorp-based window and door company now supplies and installs three PVC sliding door configurations manufactured by Aluplast: the HST 85, the Smart Slide, and the Multi Slide ST80.

PVC sliding doors operate on a horizontal track system rather than swinging open on hinges, which eliminates the need for floor clearance on either side of the opening. The panels glide along the track and can be positioned to create a fully open passage between the interior and the outdoor space. For properties where a traditional hinged garden door would obstruct furniture placement or foot traffic near the opening, a sliding configuration allows the full width of the door to remain accessible without requiring additional room for the swing arc.

The HST 85 is a lift-and-slide system with an 85-millimeter construction depth designed for large-format openings. The sash lifts off its compression seal when the handle is engaged, then glides along the track on rollers before lowering back into the sealed position when closed. This mechanism allows panels with a significant glass surface area to move with minimal effort while maintaining a tight seal against wind, rain, and heat loss when locked. The multi-chamber PVC profile in the HST 85 achieves thermal transmittance values that meet the requirements for energy-efficient and passive construction standards.

The Smart Slide system uses an innovative closing mechanism that combines the operational simplicity of a sliding door with the sealing characteristics typically found in tilt-and-turn door systems. The sash slides along the frame on concealed hardware and compresses against rubber gaskets when pushed into the closed position. This compression seal provides thermal and acoustic insulation performance comparable to fixed window units, making the Smart Slide suitable for properties where sound reduction from exterior noise sources is a priority.

The Multi Slide ST80 is designed for openings where multiple panels need to stack to one side, creating a wide unobstructed passage. The system supports configurations with several sliding sashes that travel along parallel tracks and collect against one frame post. This stacking arrangement is used in residential projects where the homeowner wants to open an entire wall section between a living room and an outdoor terrace or covered patio.

All three PVC sliding door systems are available in the same range of colors and surface finishes that Glaseco B.V. offers across its PVC product line. The standard white profile can be replaced with laminated finishes from four categories: Modern Greys, which includes anthracite grey, jet black matt, and quartz grey; Woodec, which reproduces the appearance of natural timber species including turner oak and sheffield oak; Aludec, which replicates powder-coated aluminium surfaces in anthracite and basalt grey tones; and Natural Timber finishes in oak, douglas, palisander, and walnut. All foiled surfaces include UV stabilizer compounds that protect against color degradation from prolonged sun exposure.

PVC sliding door installations require precise measurement of the structural opening, verification of the supporting wall and lintel capacity, and coordination of the track and threshold integration with the existing floor level. Glaseco B.V. handles each project from the initial on-site assessment through manufacturing coordination, delivery, professional fitting, threshold and track installation, sealing, and a post-installation inspection to confirm the panels operate correctly and the thermal seal meets specification.

The company serves homeowners, architects, and commercial property managers within a 50-kilometer radius around Amsterdam for both individual sliding door installations and larger renovation projects that combine sliding doors with window replacements, entrance doors, and facade improvements.
