Alec Kersman
The appointment brings Adams Street’s client-facing capabilities under integrated leadership as the firm continues to expand its global platform and deepen relationships with institutional investors, wealth managers, and financial advisors. In his role, Kersman will focus on strengthening coordination across client coverage, service, marketing, and product development to support the evolving needs of Adams Street’s global client base.
“Alec is a highly accomplished leader with extensive experience building client relationships across both institutional and wealth channels around the world,” said Jeff Diehl, Managing Partner & Head of Investments at Adams Street. “His strategic perspective, client-first mindset, and track record of developing strong teams make him an excellent fit for Adams Street. As we continue to grow our platform and broaden the ways we serve clients, Alec will play an important role in ensuring our capabilities remain closely aligned with their needs.”
Kersman joins Adams Street following more than 20 years at PIMCO, where he held a series of senior leadership roles across the firm’s global client businesses. Most recently, he served as Head of Asia Pacific, overseeing PIMCO’s institutional and wealth businesses across the region, and was a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Earlier in his career, he helped establish and grow PIMCO’s Latin America business and led its U.S. Wealth Management Strategic Accounts group.
“I have long admired Adams Street’s reputation as a trusted private markets partner and its deeply collaborative, client-focused culture,” said Kersman. “The firm has built a differentiated global investment platform, and I am excited to work alongside the team to deepen client relationships, enhance the client experience, and help position Adams Street for its next phase of growth.”
Kersman succeeds Kevin O’Donnell, Partner & Global Head of Investor Relations, who will retire at the end of 2026 following more than a decade of leadership at Adams Street. O’Donnell will remain actively engaged through year-end to support a seamless transition.
“Kevin has made significant contributions to Adams Street and to the strength of our client relationships over the past decade,” Diehl said. “We are grateful for his leadership, partnership, and commitment to the firm, and appreciate his continued support through this transition.”

* Adams Street Partners’ methodology to calculate Assets Under Management (AUM) is based on fund net asset value (NAV), plus unfunded commitments, plus leverage, but excluding the effect of subscription lines of credit. The prior AUM methodology was based on investor commitments minus commitments to fully liquidated underlying partnerships. Such change in methodology was effective July 2026; however, for periods shown prior to December 31, 2025, Adams Street continues to use the previous methodology.
